Sedona Lace - 15 Ultra Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette + 7 Facts award

I don't know why my camera  insists in taking in dust
particles/stains. Sorry. :/

My Sedona Lace 120 1st Edition Eyeshadow Palette  and the 15 Ultra Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette side by side. The 120 palette is bigger and has a wider color selection while the latter is designed to cater to the wants of those who like shimmers in their eyeshadows.

Description from Sedona Lace's site  - The 15 Ultra Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette has vivid colors that resemble the feathers of a peacock. If you are looking to create dramatic eyes, this palette is for you. The colors are very pigmented and the matte case measures 6 inches by 4 inches making it easy to take with you.

You can get the palette HERE

True to it description. The eye shadows on this palette are reminiscent to a peacock's feathers.
The colors are perfect for spring, although I really wouldn't recommend wearing this during daytime. All eyeshadows are creamy, blendable and easy to work with.

I was too lazy when I swatched this so I thought I should re-do it.
The colors are shimmery but not sparkly. I think this is one difference between Western and Asian cosmetics. Asian cosmetics tend to be sparkly in that they contain sparkles/glitters in them while Western cosmetics tend to be more metallic as can be seen from the swatches above and below.

Swatches 2 swipess/ea taken in natural lighting on top of Etude House's Proof 10 E/S primer.

Again, again...

Jenny reviewed this palette previously, HERE.

My take from 1-5 (5 being the highest and 1 the lowest)

Pigmentation - 4.7
Price - 4.8
Ease of use  - 4.8
Packaging - 3

Hamham's birthday - 02/23/2011

It was my sister's birthday yesterday. :3
I occasionally post about food so male followers of this blog shouldn't fret hahaha! =D

Barcino, Rockwell

- Food is super yummy! IMO, the food is pretty affordable and delicious - is not as expensive as those served in other places.
- The service is great!! And the staff is really friendly and helpful. :)
- This is a wine bar I think but I've never been a wine drinker even if my father and cousins tease me about it a lot. :P They do have a good selection of wines at a reasonable price.
- I like the ambiance and interior. :)
- They have a site if you are interested to check it out HERE.

Posting food pictures, in the manner they were served.

Complimentary bread

Sangria

Gambas Al Ajillo - Spicy shrimp in garlic oil

Croquetas Pollo Y Jamon...?
I'm not sure if I got this one right LOL!
Chicken & Ham croquettes. :3

Tapas Barcino

Tortilla De Patatas - Potato omelette

Paella Valenciana - Seafood Paella
A must try! Love, love, love.

Callos A La MadrileƱa - Tripe Stew Barcino way
This is my favorite. :p I absolutely love this!

See the first picture above? This is the table and I was just amazed so I snapped this picture. :)

My mom & the birthday girl

LOL! I look so haggard here. I haven't slept. I've been suffering from insomia lately.
Sorry. =___=

We then headed to Greenbelt because birthday girl wanted to pick her own gifts.

Birthday girl got to shop for her own gifts.
I say it's unfair... :p

Posing with her gifts. WTF!! =__= LOL!

Lusso at Greenbelt 5
This is my dad's favorite dessert place LOL!
It's actually a restaurant. The food here is yummy too! I give a thumbs up to their burger. Yes, I sometimes eat burgers after my meals just because I'm a piggie. :@)
- The service is great and the interiors of the place is really pretty.

Water ^_^
- I usually don't drink water as much as I should but if someone puts fruit slices in water I'll drink it because it's pretty. :P No use trying to reason out with me on this one.

Sans Rival Au Chocolat
-Yes, it does deserve the attention it gets from foodies out there. I always order this and the Strawberry Trifle interchangeably hehehe. >o<" I wish Lusso would expand their dessert menu.

coffee for the insomiac O.o

olive oil ice cream with salt
- This is very light and is quite yummy! I suppose it's to cleanse the palette after eating. A must try for foodies out there! :3

Random pictures:

Randomly taking pictures is fun. :p Especially when no one is being cooperative.

Pretty, pretty! Even if I so say so myself. :3

I am not affiliated with any of the companies/restos mentioned above. :) But should Gucci decide to sponsor me or my sisters in the future I will love them forever. LOL! Kidding, kidding... :p

Burning In The Skies

Me and my ever so lame titles LOL! xD

First of all I would like to say "HI!" to everyone including new followers of my blog. I noticed that not all my followers are makeup junkies so I decided to make a post at least once a week to topics/stuff that aren't related to makeup.

My lame title was inspired by this wonderful sunset. :3

What to do when you're utterly bored in the afternoon.

1. Find a trusty friend who will support your whims.
2. Grab anything you can find in the closet and wear it.
3. ............................................................................

"I'm going to the rooftop." :p
The view is spectacular IMO.

All pictures are by: Abby Villarba
Pose like you're lost in deep thought.
In Filipino, "Malayo ang tingin... nun pala ay duling." :p

Make girly & cute poses.

Pose like you know what you're doing and use anything you can find as props.

Pretend to be fierce.

Act naturally.
I always wear clothes that are 2 sizes bigger than me. :p
Just because I think they're more comfy. x)

Pose like you're a top model as my friend, Abi says. LOL!

Ehhhh?!?!?! Just pose and smile.

Blankly stare at the camera.

I obviously cropped this picture. :p I'm shy.. >o<"

"I had enough. I'm going home."
Lighting/exposure changed.

How do you keep yourself amused when you're bored? x)

Rock & Republic Eyeshadow in Electric Swatches + Review

The name Rock & Republiq  has been raved about YT gurus as well as bloggers - their blushers as well as eyeshadows were said to be of really great quality and were definitely covet worthy. Although a bit late, I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of their eyeshadows in Electric.

YAY I got to experience the signature R&R packaging!! :3

So pretty! :3

Back of the cardboard box.
Taken without flash. Indoor lighting.

Taken with a flash.
Why hello there dust particles & finger marks. Funny the camera takes this in
detail whereas it fails to take the multi-dimensional layer of the eyeshadow. :/

Back

Product in the pan. Picture taken w/ flash
Picture taken w/o flash. Sorry it did not capture the multi dimensional layers
of the E/S
Luminous-glowing blue with a bit of shimmer.
This is prettier IRL. The camera isn't picking up the layers. :/

Swatch on my arm.
Picture taken without a base.

without flash.
1 swipe.

This is what happens when you try taking swatch pictures at night time LOL! xD
Swatch = FAIL

On my eye.

Sorry for the untamed eyebrows. :/

My take:
- Color payoff is good but I expected so much from this product since it is highly raved about in Youtube.
- It is pricey. An investment as some would say but a must have if you are into makeup!
- Staying power is great!
- Creamy, blendable and easy to work with.
- Minimum fall-out.
- The color is quite pigmented and is buildable.
- Staying power is great.
- Not locally available and hard to get even online.
