Guess who's back? :P A post of all sorts

Hi everyone! I hope my blog still has followers hahaha! I apologize for not posting sooner. I have had some personal stuff to deal with and I have decided to make a few changes on my blog.

Anyway, I celebrated my birthday last January 22 which was also the eve of Chinese New Year so we welcomed the year of the water dragon at Li Li Chinese Restaurant with relatives and friends.

*Carrying a Massimo Dutti paper bag which I received as a gift from a family friend.

I love the dress from Luca. I had to go to their Eastwood store to pick it up but it was worth it! I have bought other dresses from them. Let me know if you want to see those in future OOTDs. :)

Cake number 1 from Cafe Roces. Of course I just had to eat breakfast in one of my favorite restaurants. :)

Cake number 2 from Personnalisée Cakeshop. I chose the design myself because we were also celebrating Chinese New Year.

Cake number 3 from Li Li at Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila. 

YAY! I got another cake. :) I must be lucky this year haha! The staff at Hyatt Hotel as I have previously said are very nice and accommodating to their guests.

A bunch of cupcakes were given to me by Miss Joy of Personnalisée Cakeshop.

Thank you for the yummy and super cute cupcakes! :3 The cupcakes made me and my guests smile. 

I was obviously thinking of this and that haha! xD

It was just one of those days where I could not make up my mind. Hence, I ended up mixing different shades.

Manila Bay greeted me the next morning. :) I wish I could have woken up a bit earlier because the view is simply amazing!

Sorry for the long post. It was the least I could do for not posting for almost a month. I hope everyone is doing well. 

Lili Chinese Restaurant, Hyatt Hotel and Casino - Food, Glorious Food!!! =)

I'm starting this post with something that caught my attention in the menu. It says Double-boiled Supreme Bird's Nest with Rock Sugar Php 5,888. I have tried Bird's Nest soup before but it never occurred to me that it will taste good as a dessert. Hmmm... Well I guess it will because it doesn't really have a taste or is rather flat. I must be very ignorant. x) LOL! 

Thank goodness we were able to get a table this time! As we walked in the server greeted us and said, "Welcome back!" Plus points for the friendly warm greeting, their service commendable, as always. 

Hot Tea with Guava Ice Tea. xD Both mine and both loved to bits!

Suckling Pig!

Note: I order suckling pig at all Chinese Restos all the time. If I don't order it I will order Peking Duck or something very flavorful and highly fattening... 

Steamed Pink Garoupa(Lapu-lapu) in Soy sauce. 

I actually prefer the usual lapu-lapu over the pink one because, while the flesh/meat was very tender and soft it still was a bit too fishy for my taste. The staff actually tried to help, and even offered to cook the fish again to no avail. I realized that the fish had a distinct taste that I did not like. 

Yangchow fried rice without shrimp as requested. 

Beef Tenderloin with little golden puffs that have pineapple inside! :D

As with all the other food posts that I have done, I will state that this is not a very budget friendly location. However, I think they offer buffets that cost around 700++Php. The taste of the food is top notch and I will always come back as long as my parents feed me for free pay. If you're willing to splurge for Chinese food that comes in a nice place with amazing service I would highly reommend Lili!

Gloria Maris - Food Glorious Food! :D ++

Another oldie but goodie place to eat in the Metro is Gloria Maris. They have such a wide variety of dimsums, congee, noodles and hot pot.

Can't comment on this since I can't eat crustaceans. 

Chicken asparagus soup - Broth and asparagus tastes good but the chicken's overcooked IMO.

Of course I wasn't allowed to eat this because it has shrimps in it. :/ My life kind of sucks, doesn't it? x(

Beef with ampalaya (bitter melon)

I'm not a fan of bitter melons and will never be. :P This doesn't taste bad though. The meat was cooked just right and the bitter melon's flavor isn't that strong.

Meat was rather on the rubbery side. :/ But I liked the flavor so I still ate a lot of this, haha! 

Suckling Pig! :@)

An old time favorite of mine. I am not particularly fond of Gloria Maris' suckling pig but this one was awesome! The skin was so crispy and the fat and meat was tender and succulent.

Anyway, I spotted this while I was at Rustans last night.

The SA asked me if I wanted to have it gift wrapped. :P Ermmm... I just like buying random stuff and I think ddung dolls are cute. Shall be getting the Alice in Wonderland one next time. Haha!

Of course I just had to buy candies too and ended up picking up Tutti Frutti jelly beans. :p
