Random person doing random stuff...

Hello. I hope everyone is doing well. I thought I'd post something to destress myself so I thought of doing this challenge although no one tagged me to do it. 

Random thought: It's already September and it feels like months went through without me realizing that they've gone by...  Haha!

Anyway, on to the video... All products and tools used are listed below. 

You will notice that I am very familiar with my face and sometimes there are just right tools and right products that are fool proof. 

I had to edit the video because I was being fuzzy about the products I used and took a long while selecting and applying because I didn't want to look like a clown but I had no idea what I looked like.

I used my MAC Air to film the video and just placed myself in the frame then opened Safari so I couldn't see what I was doing the whole time.

random iPhone 4 pictures plus FOTD

All pictures have their own stories to tell...

As for me, I usually take pictures of whatever catches my fancy so I thought I'd share the pictures with everyone.

These Murano miniature animal glass figures were bought from Venice during a trip to Italy. I think they are cute so I took a photo.

This is where I go when I wake up on weekends. 

I then walk and stare at these bamboos because it makes me feel relaxed and at peace. :P Afterwards I go inside our house and find people to tease. mwuahahahahah! 

I love eating warm taho for breakfast. Taho is made from soft tofu and "arnibal" (brown sugar with vanilla) and tapioca. 

I was bored yesterday so I decided to do something I haven't done in a long time. I tried to bake carrot cupcakes for the 1st time. :P

I know the frosting looks terrible. But these cupcakes passed the taste test so your arguments are invalid hahahah!

Who doesn't love Bubble/milk teas? I know I do! My brother brought these for me yesterday. Thank you Bubi! 

I haven't posted a FOTD for quite some time now. I have previously had warts removed by the dermatologist and had to have part 2 of the treatment last week. Yes, I know warts are gross. I don't even know why I have warts but I freaked out when the dermatologist told me and I immediately told her to remove the warts. As you can see from the picture below I still have marks from the cauterization session (treatment).

I did try the products at Becca before I purchased from their counter. Their chief makeup artist was kind enough to help me choose the right products for me. Below is a picture of me with a full face of Becca makeup, except for the eyes as I prefer my winged eyeliner. Plus,  I seriously don't want to buy any eye shadows. 

I think I have fallen inlove with their brand because their makeup feels looks and feels like 2nd skin- it's so light and just looks natural - perfect for summer! I hope this does not turn into some sort of addiction.

I regret not buying this when I had a chance to. Now I have to go back to Adora to purchase this. I usually don't spend a lot on makeup brushes but this brush is just so soft and I can definitely see myself using this as an all around brush for foundation, contouring, highlighting and blushes!

A Beautiful Misery

Two little kids were kneeling and crying. "We won't fight anymore." The older one said. The younger one nodded with tears in his eyes. They both pleaded to their mother. "We won't fight anymore, we promise." They both said as they hugged each other. 

The girl was awarded monthly as the most behaved student in her class. She barely spoke.Her classmates regularly tried to pick fights with her but she would just walk off;  they took her stuff away but she just shrugged; they ruined her things but she didn't cry. She never seemed to care about anything. 

One day her brother told her that he was being bullied by a classmate. Without a word, she got up and charged at the kid, shoved him hard and angrily said, "Don't you ever do that to my brother, you...!  Don't you ever touch him again!!!" Her brother hugged her and she saw he was scared. She held his hand and they walked away.

"WHAT DID YOU DO?!??" The brother now a teenager, asked his sister. "Well, I  finished the game for you. You seem to be having a hard time." "WHAT?!?!" He stormed away and slammed the door as she laughed at his annoyance.


A couple of years later, "Cool...!" said the sister. "You know, we're going to get in trouble, I'm not supposed to be driving yet." "Doesn't matter. Just bump into inanimate objects, not people.  Though preferably, you should try not to bump into anything or anyone. Got it?" The brother smiled and the two went on a joy ride.

Both of them are now grown ups. The brother shook his sister who suffered from insomnia and had barely slept. He told her he was hungry. "Go ask the house help to get you something." She mumbled. "Let's eat together." He said, and she grogily got up from bed and sighed.

Later that day the brother asked her to scratch his back as he always would. She was annoyed but she did anyway. Then he asked her to brush his hair and she did. They talked and tried to annoy each other as they customarily did. 

A few days later... 

She watched as her whole family mourn at his funeral;
She watched as they closed the lid of his casket;
She tried to gather every inch of her courage as she silently prayed for him to go to the light.

As bright and festive lights illuminate the busy nights;  as Christmas carols play and fill the air, and as People flock on the malls. It's that time of the year once again, for friends and families spend moments together to rejoice. 
A time to share, a time to give and a time to remember....


The people who once shared a part of them with us and molded us to what we are now. They are the ones I miss the most; they're the ones I will keep in my heart no matter what happens. 


I would like to offer this post to all the people who have once lived and walked amongst us; I offer this post to family members and friends who still grieve for their loss. Truly, they will always be missed.

Pao misses you. We used to attend simbang gabi  together. Now, it all seems different without you...
I haven't even started shopping for gifts because you aren't here, it's hard without a 2nd opinion, with no one to help me carry the shopping bags anymore. No one to lecture me about how I  spend way too much. :P 
I know our lives will never be the same. But I also know that you would have wanted us to stay happy, so for you we will. :)
I love you and you know, I always have and always will.

Cuteness Overload!!! Anika :3

Say hello to Anna Mikaela A.K.A. Anika. Currently, the youngest of my first cousins once removed. Last Sunday she was baptized and I became her god mother so she's also my god daughter or "inaanak" as we call it in Filipino.

Her eye color was not edited; it's just a bit different from what we Asians have gotten used to. It was also one of the first things I have noticed when I first saw her at the nursery. I thought, "WOW! She doesn't need contact lenses haha!" 

Oh my gosh!! She's sooo adorable and she knows how to pose! xD

Awwww... She's uber cute. She didn't cry during the whole ceremony and was just observing what the people around her were doing.

I prayed for her to grow up to be a fine, God fearing lady. Of course I added that I hope she will be pretty, intelligent and a good daughter to her parents. :)

Hello everyone! I realize I've been remiss in my duties as a blogger but believe me I have my reasons and as much as I want to update this blog and go visit everyone's blog, a lot of things have prevented me from doing so.

Anyway, I'm still here! And I shall try to keep up with my back log as well as go visit everyone's blog really soon.

November 1, All Saints Day is a legal and non working holiday in the Philippines. Most Filipinos go to the cemetery to visit their late relatives, to utter a prayer or light a candle; some bond with their other relatives; 

and of course, we all eat a lot! LOL! 

Our family had 2 lechons "roasted pigs" YAY! I definitely pigged out at my grandfather's house that day. :P NOTE TO MYSELF: See the reason why you're getting f-a-t.

I suspect it was my Mom's idea to have candles of different colors although she told me that she only wanted us to use white candles.

For those who have lost loved ones and friends, I hope they all find eternal peace. We Christians believe in the concept of heaven so I'm ending this post with this picture. It's always comforting to know that our loved ones have moved on to a better place. :3

One of the better ways to start the week is by sharing a bunch of cute pictures. :3 This time, I will be sharing pictures of my first cousins once removed, Jaqs whom I shall fondly refer to as my nephew because it makes my life easier. :P

Hullow! I'm Jaqs. This is my first time to go malling and I'm not too keen on all the people telling my mom that they want to pinch my cheeks. :/

Jaqs is one of the sweetest and most intelligent kids I have ever come across. Although he tends to be shy and does not like to be around big crowds. He doesn't approach people and usually takes a while before he starts to trust, warm up and start playing with strangers.

Always observing, always lost in thought if not wrecking havoc like all little boys do, LOL! =)

Quite a brave little tot, he can devour a calamansi. LOL! xD And he never cries when he gets vaccinations and doesn't cry when he gets hurt due to his mistakes.

See what healthy big teeth I have! Those are so I can smile at girls like this. :)

He likes to dance and sing. His favorite song is Justin Beiber's Baby. x) But his favorite hobby is dismantling his toys then putting them back together. At the age of 2 he could tell all the different letters of the alphabet in small and big letters; he also knows all the colors and he can play and operate the itouch quite well.

I keep this picture in my wallet.

Years may have passed, it was this same date when I first held your hand, that was the first time I met you and welcomed you to the world. From that moment, we formed a bond, a pact, a promise to always be there for each other whenever and wherever. 

A person whom I shared my childhood and most of my life with, my brother, Jammy.

I gave him a lot of pet names, the last one was Piglet.

We grew up together. I always looked out for him because he is younger than me. He always used to walk behind me when we were smaller; later we walked side by side as we battled an invisible adversary called life. Never sharing the same beliefs, adhering to our own principles, yet our bond still existed and we would be there for each other when we needed to be.

He is the closest human being I ever had. He was someone I could trust without reservations. Someone who always stayed behind me to watch my back even when we were little. I know he supported me even though we did not always see eye to eye; we respected each other's decisions and would be there for when the time comes that we need to help.

I cannot even describe how I felt when it dawned on me that he was dying while I watched helplessly. No amount of words can justify the horror, the shock, the frustration, the ignominy and pain that overwhelmed me. I know people who saw me then would just accuse me for being a lying bitch because I seemed so composed. I was the only family member who did not cry during his wake and interment - I do not deny that. Nor do I feel the need to explain myself because I know my brother would have understood me. He was someone who I never had to verbally communicate to, to get my point across. I feel and know that a part of me died when we lost him. 

Up to this time I remain firm in my beliefs, I do not want to hold him back because I believe that he is destined to be in a better place. While I do not celebrate his death - I still celebrate his life. I cherish every memory we shared and will keep them where prying eyes can never take them away from me. I am thankful that I had a chance to know him, to be his older sister who he liked to tease a lot.

I have painstakingly taught myself that things that are way beyond my control are facts that I have to live with and even if those things happen I can still find ways to console myself. In this instance I am left with memories. A double edged knife as some would say - both happy and painful each time I look back. Happy because I cherish and treasure them. Painful, because I will always miss my brother so much.

Happy birthday Piglet! I still celebrate your life because I will be thankful for the time you have spent with us.

I learned a term today "first cousins once removed" refers to my relationship with my cousins daughter or son.   In my country, we just refer to them as our nephews or nieces but this is entirely new to me so I thought I'd share it with everyone. (Play Sesame street theme now. :P)
