Paul & Joe Lip Gloss N 002 (Gala)

 A plumping, thickening lip gloss. Imparts volume and shine. Glides on smoothly. Makes your lips look fuller. Adheres firmly and long lasting.

It's very shimmery/glittery. :)

It's a soft peach-beige with lots of sparkles and glitters. I haven't gotten around to using this yet.

Nivea Visage Q10 plus & Sparkling White - Skincare diary

YAY!!! :) I recieved these products from Nivea Phils. for review.

Left to Right - Nivea Q10 plus Day Cream, Nivea Visage Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream and Nivea Visage Q10 plus Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream. 

As I previously stated, I wanted to try out these products out in a blog entry here. To read more please refer to this article.

My skin is still in the process of healing, because I have broken out a few weeks ago. Still I have decided to try some of the products, and integrate a few to my skincare routine -I do have high hopes for these products. 

Thinking: better skin without making the wallet nor piggy bank cry. Ok, that definitely makes everyone and everything happy! LOL! :D

Nivea Visage Sparkling White - Whitening Cleansing Foam and Nivea Visage Sparkling White Day Cream.

PS: I have misplaced the Sparkling White day cream. :/ I know people don't misplace jars but I do! :P It's just here somewhere and I know it. I shall find it soon!

Initial Thoughts:

Now, I have been using the eye cream for day time as I use a different one at night. I have previously stated that I may not be the best person to consult when it comes to eye creams as I don't have eye bags and dark eye circles. I just like using a separate moisturizer for my under eye area and this seems to be doing a good job at keeping the said area hydrated.

Consistency - It's a cream but does not feel as heavy as other eye creams, although it also isn't the lightest I have tried. My other eye cream has a gel-like texture. Clearly, I am not fond of products that feel sticky and heavy on the skin.

It takes about a minute or so for it to be fully absorbed by the skin. I have not tried wearing this under makeup, though I think it won't affect makeup worn over it, as long as one waits for it to fully settle in before makeup application.

Scent - Has a very mild scent that's reminiscent of the Nivea cream that comes in Blue tin cans.

Price - Affordable and won't make your wallets cry. :)

It has a very long product name, hence we shall refer to it as a cleansing foam! :)

Product claims:

1. Cleans into pores to remove dirt and oil.

2. Acne reduction Technology helps prevent acne.
3. Skin Nutrient Formula helps lighten dark spots and blemishes.
4. Minimizes appearance of pores.
5. Smoothens skin without dry feeling.

WOW! If all of those are true I will forever love this cleansing foam hahaha! :) I have been using it since I got it and so far these are my observations:

- Did not break me out.
- I have been using Tretinoin and while some facial cleansers may prove to be too harsh this has been gentle on my skin.
- Has a nice scent.
- Removes makeup although it won't remove stubborn eye makeup. (I have yet to use a cleanser/foam which completely removes eye makeup.)
- Silky to the touch and feels nice when applied on the face.
- Foams and lathers up well. I have tried to use this on its own and with my Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool and it works just great!
- Affordable! The 50ml tube only costs Php75. :)

I love the ambiance! Customer service is excellent. Everyone greeted us when we walked in and thanked us when we left. :D  My sister told me that the servers dance when they aren't busy - would have loved to see them  perform.

I have read other reviews complaining that the prices are exorbitant; I say that it may seem so because they were based overseas. I don't want to discuss economics and the buying power of our legal tender, soooooo I'll just say, for unlimited fries and drinks I think the prices are just fine. :P Especially if you can eat a lot of french fries and drink a lot of soda. Overall, it's a great place to hang out with friends while it may be a bit overpriced for a foodchain. =)

I'm still going back to try their malt sodas and apple pie! xD

I have been looking forward to these color palettes although I am currently on an eyeshadow ban because I own way too many eyeshadows. LOL! xD If I could I would certainly pick up one of these gorgeous palettes! 

001 - is a good neutral palette for ladies with light to medium skin tones.

002 - is a great palette for everyone! It has the a great variety of color selection IMO because it can be used for both day and night time. The colors will look good on everyone from lighter-darker skin toned ladies.

003- also a neutral palette but is aimed towards ladies with fair to lighter skin tones.

Finishing Pressed Powder - 001 Spotlight

I have been told that this is a highlighting powder so it should only be applied on certain areas of the face to give it a healthy and lovely glow. :)

Lipstick C in 073 Uptown Girl, 072 SoHo and 074 Lower East Side.

073 is a very pretty and light coral shades - Coral lovers should definitely check this lipstick out - it's a milky coral that is very pretty! 

072 is a bright red-orange which would look for bold and daring looks. Little dabs on the lips will give you natural kissable lips.

074 is a mauve color with beige undertones. This is the perfect nude lipstick and I picked it 

up because I fell inlove with it! <3 (Swatches and review will be posted in the future.)

The eyeshadows are a bit similar to those of the summer collection but I prefer the packaging of the summer collection although these may have a different hue because they're for fall. If you already own the LE summer edition eyeshadows, I suggest you skip these and invest on the palettes and other items. 

Pencil Eye Liners in 002 Bleecker Street, 001 Upper East Side and 003 Grand Central

Nail Enamel in 018 The City Never Sleeps, 019 Big Apple and 017 Downtown.

The City Never Sleeps is navy blue well, almost midnight blue with purple and pink hues that show up when the lighting changes.

Big Apple is a very deep and gorgeous shade with shimmers for an extra sparkle!

Downtown is a peach-pink well it's kind of a coral with some shimmers that will compliment any skin tone. 

Face & Eye Color CS and  Lipstick C are now available for purchase at Paul & Joe's Rustans counter in Makati. The other items will also be released this month. I was not able to get a picture of the new cream foundation which is probably a re-formulated version of the Moisturizing Compact Foundation.

Swatches will be posted if only upon request - I was not able to get decent swatches because of the lighting.  Please let me know what items would you like to see swatches of, because I will not post swatches of everything except for the ones that I will acquire and the ones that you would want to see. Just let me know in the comments, ok? :)

At one time in a girls life she will dream of becoming a beauty queen, I say this because most of my friends and sisters tend to have that dream. :P I, on the other hand dreamnt of other things hahahaha! :P

I do remember joining a pageant as a 7 year old kid. At the Question and answer portion:
Host: If you only have one sandwich then a poor and hungry beggar who hasn't eaten in a couple of days asks you for food or money and you only had that sandwich - what would you do?
Me: I'd give the beggar my sandwich.
Host: But you're hungry and you haven't eaten breakfast when you left the house...
Me: I'd still give the sandwich to the beggar because when I go home from school I can always eat while the beggar probably doesn't have a home with food like I do.

Standing ovation but I did not win. :P My mom always asks me questions I needed to answer as a kid. Too bad I never lived up to her expectations at becoming a beauty queen like she was during her younger years.

Moving on - Manels is the Official Footwear of Miss World Philippines 2011! They have developed 5 styles that were specifically designed for the inaugural launch of the separate Miss World Phils. pageant under Ms. Cory Quirino.

The shoes look amazing! I'm sure all the contestants will look gorgeous with those different pairs on. :) All the designs look great and can be used for go-sees if you're into modeling or for events wherein you would have to wear a gown. But I can definitely see the designs working with different outfits!
