Tony Moly Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in 09 Tear Beige

Eyeliners, a must have.
Eyeliners define and enhance our eyes. Classic eyeliner shades always leaned towards darker colors such as Black, Brown, Blue and Green. I am glad to see that more colors are becoming available, specifically lighter ones such as Peach and White. Lighter colored eyeliners will make you seem more awake as they brighten and make the eyes pop out.

Tony Moly says: Effective waterproof pencil eye liner that does not get smudged by water, sweat and sebum.

Directions from Tony Moly: Fill the gap between the eyelashes along the upper lid.
I really wouldn't recommend doing that since it will emphasize sparse eyelashes. I would recommend that you use this for the inner corners of your eyes, on your lower waterline and as an eyeshadow but I think you should only line your upper lid with a dark eyeliner. That's what I do anyway.

Around 400-500 Pesos. Definitely cheaper than Urban decay's 24/7.
One will have to note that once the product settles, it will not budge. It really is water proof too so it may be a bit of a pain to remove at the end of the day.

Pigmentation:
A bit sheer but it can be layered to bring out the "real color' of the product.
Texture:
Smooth and very creamy. Almost buttery to the touch.
Application:
It glides on the eyes effortlessly. Although one may have to build up the product for a more defined look, application overall is still a breeze!
Lasting Power:
I do not have oily lids and it lasts 6 hours on me. I would recommend that this product be used with an eyeshadow primer and set with a powder or eyeshadow of the same color for maximum lasting power. The product does stay on but it will somewhat fade. Maybe it is because of the color. I have yet to try the darker liners from this line, but I am still convinced that Tony Moly makes awesome eyeliners!

swatch TM 09 Tear Beige.
The color is more Champagne or Peach like than Beige as I have always equated Beige as more of a light Brown in my head, but that could just be me. You can refer to the swatch as it is rather accurate.

Lioele Glittering Jewel Liners (Initial Thoughts + Swatches)

Lioele Glittering Jewel Liner in 01 Deep Black and 03 Champagne Jewel

Product information from the box:
Super creamy texture let's you draw eyelines softly and neatly. Long lasting waterproof eyeliner keeps your eye without smudging in sweat or sebum. (I did not alter the translation.)

HOW TO USE:

01 Deep Black:

Starting from inside corner, fill in between lashes. To use as a eye shadow, draw thick line, then blend the line naturally as soon as it gets. (?)

03 Champagne Jewel:

With a touch underneath eyes, your makeup creates teary romantic moods on your eyes. To use as eye shadow, blend it after drawing eyes.

Caution:
  • Powerful waterproof formular is very strong at water, but possibly removed by sebum. Please make sure to puff once with powder before drawing eyeline.
  • Close pencil cap after using.

Black long wooden-plastic like pencils that come with a pink cap. Be sure to keep the cap closed as exposure to air will dry out the product. I like that these are sealed when new. :)

My favorite pencil eyeliner is Urban Decay's 24/7. I thought I'd give these a try because Asians cosmetic companies do make good eyeliners.

Swatched on NC30 skin.
Top: 01 Deep Black
Bottom: 03 Champagne Jewel

These aren't as pigmented as Urban Decay's 24/7. The lines on the side were swiped just once and the ones in the middle were swiped twice and a half. :P Though not as pigmented as Urban Decay, the colors can be built with a few layers. Both are very creamy and soft and easy to work with.

I haven't tried these yet but I wanted to show everyone the swatches. True enough, these don't budge once they set and dry. I think the translation above meant you should set it with powder. Both pencils can be used as an eyeliner and as an eyeshadow or eyeshadow base.

I have previously said, Champagne eyeliners will make your eyes pop without making it appear as obvious or as strong as a white eyeliner. You can apply it in your inner eye corner and in the waterline or bottom rim.

I think these can be only removed with an oil based makeup remover = sebum, such as cleansing oils. I am under the impression that these wouldn't fade nor go anywhere once they set.

I wouldn't recommend either of the colors to anyone who doesn't like shimmery and sparkly makeup as these eyeliners are loaded with glitters. The glitters are very fine and tiny though, not like some glitter eyeliners out there but these are more visible as they really sparkle!

Both eyeliners are very affordable. Both cost less than 1 Urban Decay 24/7 pencil so if you're on a lookout for a good eyelining pencil and aren't bothered by glitters, these eyeliners would be a great choice. :)

Clio Waterproof Pen Liner Kill Black

Waterproof and no smudge formula
Pen liner helps you to draw clear eye lines with deep black color (Included in Carbon Black).Beginner can use it easily by just one touch without breaking line. It is waterproof and no smudge formula so you can enjoy clear lines for a long time.

I gather that the girl on the box is a famous celebrity in Korea of which I am not familiar with. Please excuse my ignorance. -_- Oh, I copied the description above from the box. I had nothing to do with what was written.

Another pen type eyeliner because I love lining my eyes. :)
Well, there is nothing special about the packaging. The pen is made of plastic and similar to other drugstore eyeliners in terms of packaging but the formula inside is quite different from the ones I have tried.

Very fine-pointed felt tip liner.

Below is a comparison of the Clio Waterproof Pen Liner Kill Black with other eyeliners I own:
It is very black and is pigmented as you can see from the photo.

I used a light hand but went over the line twice. I also made it thicker for emphasis (Sorry for the lighting. >.<) This eyeliner is very easy to use and is suitable for beginners as the felt tip is very easy to maneuver. I find that this works for tight lining my eyes and never gives me the dreaded panda eyes.

Once again apologies for the lighting. You can see my previous FOTDs with this eyeliner on. It doesn't smudge on me and stays put all day to the wee hours of night.

The formulation of this eyeliner is thicker and a bit drier than other eyeliners I have tried. Compared to the  eyeliners above that I have swatched, it's formula is the deepest in terms of color payoff. It is also the one that dries the fastest.

PROS:
- Does not irritate nor sting my eyes.
- Felt tip eyeliner is easier to use than brush tips ones because the brush sometimes get all over the place.
- Dries easily (almost as soon as it is applied on.)
- Does not smudge and budge once it is applied.
- It is  true to the color and is really one of the blackest black eyeliners I have ever seen.
- I would like to emphasize this - IT IS NOT A PAIN TO REMOVE like other waterproof eyeliners. It comes off easily when I wash my face at night with soap and water.

CONS:
- Not locally available.
- May give thicker lines than brush tip eyeliners as the felt tip always draws very black lines. (Just use a lighter hand for a thinner line.)

Majolica Majorca Jeweling Pencil in 71 (Short Review + Tip + FOTD)

I have been looking for another eyeliner to use for my waterline. As much as I love lining it with a white eyeliner, I often find that white is a bit too strong and just looks very unnatural in some pictures.

It is a champagne Gold. I have yet to find a Peach eyeliner. :)

As you can see from the swatch above, this particular eyeliner contains glitters. If you have sensitive eyes, I suggest you stay away and find another eyeliner because this might irritate your eyes. I on the other hand would have to say that I really like this eyeliner. :3
The lasting power amazed me and the color makes my eyes pop out without being too obvious. I would have to say though that this feels a bit scratchy, it does not go on as smoothly as some of my eyeliners do. I suspect that the glitters may be the culprit but I still love it! It's available at all Majolica Majorca counters and it's also very affordable.

TIP: Use a Peach, Champagne or Gold eyeliner instead of White to make your eyes more alive without being too obvious.

Trying out Geo Princess Mimi Green lenses. :)

Picture taken with iPhone 4. I think the flash washes out the color of the blush and I applied it heavily so everyone can see the lovely pink color it gives. I will be doing a separate review with swatches of Dandelion.
As I have previously stated - I tend to act goofy in real life although people don't suspect I do. :P

I have always wanted to have my picture taken with the pose below. A headshot with a mesmerized stare.. :P Please excuse the vanity. LOL! x)

I used Photoscape to edit the photo. In the first photo, I just reduced the noise since the picture was taken with an iPhone. I then played with the lighting in the 2nd and 3rd photo. Which among the three do you like? :)

Have a great weekend everyone! ^___^

Tony Moly Backstage Eyeliner - Brown

Tony Moly Backstage Eyeliner - Brown

I decided to try a dark brown eyeliner instead of the usual black because I heard that brown liners looks softer and less sharp than black liners do.

Not a fan of the packaging though. I find the cap a little bulky and would have preferred a product that comes with a separate applicator.

The brush is ok, this may not be the best applicator, but it's free and even if there are many better brushes this one can also draw a line. The only thing is the tip is a bit thick and and you may not be able to make a precise or a thin line with it.

The consistency and pigmentation surprised me, it's really creamy and goes on smoothly. For the price, it's definitely worth it. It also doesn't form chunks nor does it transfer and budge once it dries. As you will see from the swatches below this eyeliner is also very opaque.

 Swatch
Swiped once with the brush above. As you can see, the lines are rather thick however both lines are also very visible and the color is pigmented.

PROS:
- Pigmented.
- Creamy and goes on smoothly.
- Long lasting.
- Affordable.
- waterproof.

CONS:
- May be hard to get outside Asia.

NEUTRAL:
- Will report back if this dries up.
- The consistency is a bit runny, which I actually prefer; but other people may want their gel liners to be a bit more dry for a more precise application.

TIPS:
- Close the lid tightly as gel liners may dry a bit quickly and will become chunky and troublesome to apply.
- Use a different eye liner brush for a precise line.
- This may be used as a base for a smokey eye.

For actual eyeliner application photos. Please refer to the photos in previous and upcoming FOTDs.

Have a great weekend everyone! Thanks for reading! :)

Do you prefer gel, cream, liquid or pencil eyeliners?

Majolica Majorca swatches of sugar trap collection + review + news for Philippine based readers

Hello everyone! I will be swatching products and testing them for you today. =)
I know I suck at making post titles so please forgive me if I do. :/ Last Saturday, I posted about a haul I recently made. I have already tried these as soon as I got them because I was excited. :P

Of course it looks familiar LOL! I recently posted about these. ^^
Items were bought from - http://wehaveit43.multiply.com/
The eyelash curler was given to me as a freebie! <3 YAY!

Unboxed.
Majolica Majorca Sugary Trap - Eyelash Curler, Lash Expander Frame Plus (LE) in BR666, Cream Pencil Liner in BR611 Red-toned Mocha Brown and BK999 Bitter Black.

I ended up getting these because the Puff De Cheek in PK303 and the quad I wanted were already sold out. :'(

Lash Expander Frame Plus (LE) in BR666

I am assuming everyone is familiar with this cult favorite mascara, hence I will no longer post what the wand looks like. If you have not please let me know so I can review the Black one for you too. =)

PROS:

- The fibers make my non existent Asian lashes appear longer and thicker. So that's volume + lengthening all in one bottle.
- The color is perfect for spring & summer!
- Not as expensive as other high end mascaras.
- Does not budge and stays put.

CONS:

- May be a bit hard to get off. But that's not actually bad is it? You just have to use a really good makeup remover or you can just rinse it off with lukewarm water. ;)
- Hard to get outside Asia.
- Why must it be LE when it is such a good mascara?!? O.O

 Eyelash Curler ( I love the color! <3 )

This perfectly fits my eye! So much better than my Shu Uemura lash curler does.

I have therefore decided to use this as my everyday eyelash curler and will be casting the other one aside. :P

Pros:

- Perfectly fits my eye shape. Curling has never been so effortless! :P
- I love the color! <3
- This is cheaper than Shu Uemura and other lash curlers.
- Curls stay.

Cons:

- May give you an L-shaped lashes if you don't know how to use an eyelash curler.

Majolica Majorca Sugary Trap - Cream Pencil Liner in BK999 Bitter Black and BR611 Red-toned Mocha Brown

I'm not posting a review on the cream pencils because I haven't tested these long enough. :) Also, I am not sure if they are water proof but these were really affordable so if they turn out to be waterproof I advise that you get both cream liners!

Swatch

Uh-huh my eye... without makeup and contact lenses.
Sorry I am unable to show my whole face as I tried eating dried mangoes and my allergies acted up hence, my face is full of rashes once again. :3

On my eyes.
This actually looks better and more natural in real life and the brown mascara and eyeliner are perfect for spring and summer because it doesn't look as harsh as the black one. Do let me know if you want to see a comparison of the products so I can do a separate post on it. =)

I have fantastic news for Majolica Majorca lovers in the Philippines too! Thank you so much Marge for letting me know about it. <3

Majolica Majorca is now locally available in the Philippines! Yes, it's now locally available. xD
No need to order their wonderful products online anymore. They have opened their flagship counter at SM Makati Department Store Beauty Section and will soon be available in SM Dept. stores and Watsons.

I am currently in Cabanatuan right now. :( If I was in Manila I would have started hoarding hauling hahaha! :P

They also have an on-going promo.

Please don't hoard buy too much till I get back to Manila because I also want the makeup pouch, ok? :p Do let me know if you get anything from them and if you like their products. If you haven't I recommend you try their mascara. =)
