Figs and ROUGE 100% Organic Balm in Sweet Geranium

Such a pretty tin can! :3 Makes me think of days that have gone by... And by that statement I mean days before I was even born. Hahaha! :) The tin can is just so pretty and feminine. 

100% Organic! Definitely gets tons of plus points.

This is a multi tasking product that can be applied to the skin, nails and lips. For more tips, please refer to their site. As for me:

• I tried this out as a lip balm, but decided that it was not a really good idea. 
• I use it on my hands sometimes.
• I use it on dry patches of my skin and it does get the job done.

Consistency - Balmy. Heavy, thick, and rich. Upon application, it instantly re-hydrates the skin.

Fragrance/scent - Rather strong and lingers on for a few minutes. If you like the scent that you will be getting as they have other scents, then you will appreciate that the product's scent does tend to stay for a while. I am guessing that the scent is reminiscent of Sweet Geranium, although I cannot attest to such as I don't think I have smelled a Sweet Geranium before, or I may have but it does not seem to register on my mind.. The scent does not bother me, but I'm not crazy about it either.  I prefer sweet, fruity or dessert smelling scents over florally ones when it comes to these type of products.

Price - Affordable.

This is an okay product for me. It works, but it does not have any long term benefits or whatsoever. I would opt for other products, but that's just me being me. For the price, it's still worth what you are getting. I also have the famous Lucas Papaw Ointment and between this and that, I prefer this product as Lucas Papaw tends to dry out my skin and leave it patchy.

Lip Treatments - OLE HENRIKSEN african red tea exfoliating lip salvation (HG)

What convinced me to buy this:

Additionally, red tea is rich in minerals (such as iron, calcium, copper, and magnesium); has antiviral, antibacterial, and anticancer properties; heals skin irritations; and promotes smooth skin.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
-Petrolatum
-Parabens
-Synthetic Dye
-Synthetic Fragrance
-Sulfates

No unhealthy and harmful chemicals - definitely a big plus! 

This contains micro beads that gently exfoliate the lips. :) Unlike normal lip scrubs, the micro beads would not feel rough nor irritate the lips. It softly exfoliates the lips while its on, without the hassle of having to keep a separate lip scrub. It sort of reminded me of the very expensive La Mer lip balm, this however does not have the cooling sensation of the latter has. It also does not cost as much, although it is more expensive than other lip balms. I would say, it's worth every cent I paid for it.

The scent is rather pleasant. It is not irritating nor strongly sweet smelling like some lip products are. This product gives a very subtle colour on the lips that just makes it seem healthier and more kissable. I have noticed that my lips haven't been as dry since I have started using this product.

I will repurchase if ever it runs out, and I'm halfway done as I write this post (or I might purchase the La Mer lip balm, if I have extra money to spare just to satisfy my curiousity about the product).

I have recently acquired the Lucas Papaw Ointment and I will review it as soon as I feel that I have tested it enough to give a review. 

Dior Addict Lip Glow (Color Reviver Balm)

Yes, the price is rather steep for a lip balm; I'm really desperate for a good balm because my lips have been terribly dry lately for as long as I can remember. 

I will state the cons of the product first:

1. Price - As I previously stated, it's expensive for a lip balm. 

2. It is always out of stock at their counter at Rustan's. You might want to reserve one if you wish to purchase, unless you get lucky and you are there when they restock.

3. Runs out quickly. I'm always halfway through mine.

The packaging is so pretty! :3

Comes in a clear Pink plastic cap and the tube itself is made of metal. I have no complaints about it whatsoever.

Contains 10 SPF. A definite plus for a lip product! :)

The actual product is slanted so it glides on the lips easily and application is a breeze! :)

- I am not sure of it's plumping properties. I have never noticed any difference on my lips after application.

-  No weird taste; it has a scent but it does not bother me.

- Compared to other lip balms I have tried, this keeps my lips moisturized for a long time. I would only have to re-apply after I eat and before I sleep. The color may fade when worn for long periods though.

Are you girls familiar with the magic lipstick? It has the same concept but the magic lipstick stains the lips and leaves, accentuates lines on the lips and makes my lips patchy. This on the other hand applies evenly and never settles on the lines of my lips. Oh, this also looks more natural as long as you don't overdo the application.

Swatch. The color changes from light pink to red depending on the person's body chemistry. 

On me, it's a reddish-pink. It looks natural and has a natural and lovely sheen to it. Something I'd definitely wear on my lazy days because of the extra SPF it contains. And, I won't look weird or undone even if I have it on! :D

NOTE: Applying several layers will give you Neon Pink lips. I am not kidding; remember to use the product sparingly.

Repurchase? Most likely. Will try the Becca Butter Balm when I run out of this product.

This is one of those products that I had high hopes for especially since I read many good reviews on it. 

The product is clear and can be used under lipstick or lipgloss. It is smooth and goes on easily on the lips. It also smells pleasant and the taste does not bother me at all. 

PROS:
- Non sticky.
- Does not feel heavy on the lips.
- Gives a soothing sensation when applied.
- Smells wonderful.
- Does not contain chemicals and is made with products that are environmentally friendly.

CONS:
- Tad expensive for a lip balm/conditioner.
- Not locally available.
- Does not last on my lips.
- Does nothing for my dry lips.

REPURCHASE? No. The only reason I buy lip balms and conditioners is because I don't want my lips to be dry and this clearly does nothing for me.

Paul & Joe - Moisture Lip Treatment

Thank you for your kind words and for letting me feel I'm special on my last post. ^_^ For those who asked what my 2nd degree is - it's LLB which stands for Legum Baccalarues or Bachelor of Laws. Hence, the Violet Tassle and hood on the toga.

And yes, I know I don't act all lawyer-like and all but I still will be a lawyer someday, hopefully. LOL! =D

It's another Paul & Joe post! YAYYY!!! :P

After my EOS Sweet Mint failed to keep my lips moisturized I moved on to this...

I noticed that my P&J lipsticks were very moisturizing so I thought I'd give their lip treatment a try because I have often heard that their skincare is great.

Paul & Joe Moisture Lip Treatment melts delectably onto the lips for a perfectly plump, sensuous pout. Glides lightly and delectably onto lips for a supremely luxurious coat.

• Creates a generous covering of shine and moisture that keeps lips plumped and lustrous.

The packaging is simple & elegant. :3

See... I consumed almost 1/4 of it. =)

PROS:

- The packaging is nice.

- Very moisturizing and is the only lip product that hasn't cracked and dried my lips this summer. 

- Will give the lips a healthy sheen when worn alone.

- Unscented.

CONS:

- Does not have SPF.

- Not cheap.

- Like all Paul & Joe products, this may be hard to find.

NEUTRAL:
- Might be a bit thick to some but it's a good base for lipsticks and glosses.
- Does not have a minty feel or a tingling sensation.

Overall, I like this lip treatment although I can't say that I will be sticking to it. :3 I'm always on the look-out for better lip balms. ;)
