Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 055 Cupcake

I just had to pick up one... After watching and reading so many positive reviews about Revlon's Lip Butters I knew I just had to try it, so I randomly picked up a shade of Pink I do not yet have.

Lip Butters entice me! Anything that would provide moisture and keep my dry lips from chapping/ cracking excite me.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

055 Cupcake

The packaging is quite similar to the Colorburst lipsticks. The caps however have a similar to the shade of lip butter inside.

Price - Around 500++ Php.

I believe that it is rather expensive for a drugstore brand.

The lip butter itself is slanted and can be easily applied on the go.

Candy Pink with Purple/Blue undertones.

Texture: Creamy. Goes on easily, but I wouldn't say that it's that buttery. Yes, it is soft but there's still something lacking. I find that while it does not completely dry my lips; it also fails to provide enough moisture to keep it from cracking. I still have to apply a balm underneath, which I believe totally defeats the purpose of the lip butter as it is supposed to be something between a lipstick and a lip balm.

I am not crazy of its texture on the lips as it feels rather gooey; but maybe that's just me. I am not a fan of sticky lip glosses after all.

Pigmentation: I am under the impression that different shades may vary in color payoff. This one is rather sheer but is buildable. The color payoff is better than most lip balms but is still not as great or as pigmented as a lipstick.

Lasting Power: Not great. It's a lip butter and not a lipstick after all. One needs to constantly re-apply this from time to time.

Finish: Frosty. Shiny. Not really shimmery as lip glosses or lip butters, but it still has a sheen to it.

As you can see from the picture, it does not apply evenly. It takes several swipes to achieve the color above and still I can see some areas that seem to be bare.

I have tried mixing this with other lip products and it didn't seem to work very well. :/

Re-purchase? Most likely not, unless I see a color or shade that I really like.

BECCA Lip and Cheek Creme in Blossom

I have decided to indulge, so I picked up this Creme Lip & Cheek from Becca. I have been using this for about a month now. :)

Price - 2,150.00 Php

Becca says, "Conveniently packaged with a travel-friendly mirror for tinting lips and cheeks on the go, this richly pigmented creme formulation is the ultimate multi-tasker. This versatile, super blendable creme containing Vitmain E can be applied over or under makeup for an effortless, natural-looking finish without shimmer."

The packaging contains a small round mirror inside. It is sturdy and travel-friendly but the rubber part reminds me of NARS' dust magnet packaging.

Texture is very smooth and creamy. It blends effortlessly with the use of the fingers, a sponge or a brush. I have not experienced streaking during application.

Pigmentation is decent. As light as the color may seem, it is still visible with one swipe. Color can be built with several layers without giving clown-like cheeks and does not cake like other cream products do.

Blossom - Caramel Nude

A universally flattering shade. I have used this on my sister and it looked great on her. The SA at Becca also had it on her cheeks and it also complimented her skin very well.

True to the description provided. Blossom is a Nude Caramel shade with a hint of Rosey-Pink and Peach. It gives a very healthy natural flush on the cheek; not shimmery but has a glowing and beautiful sheen.

Staying power is commendable. Once I have set it on powder, it does not budge! I am very impressed with this product.

CONS:
- Limited availabilty. Purchased mine from Adora, Greenbelt.
- Price is steep. (Still, I would say that it is worth it.)
- I would not recommend this for the lips, especially if you have dried and chapped lips as the moisture it provides would not be enough to keep the lips from cracking.

I am so pleased with the quality of the cream blush. I have been saving up for the "Classic" Anniversary Set 4,850.Php. Includes: Shimmering Skin Perfector(tinted moisturizer/foundation), Beach Tint (Lip & Cheek), Resurfacing Primer, plus Lip Plumping Moisture Gloss. I cannot wait to pick up this set! :)

Hi everyone! I hope my blog still has followers hahaha! I apologize for not posting sooner. I have had some personal stuff to deal with and I have decided to make a few changes on my blog.

Anyway, I celebrated my birthday last January 22 which was also the eve of Chinese New Year so we welcomed the year of the water dragon at Li Li Chinese Restaurant with relatives and friends.

Cake number 1 from Cafe Roces. Of course I just had to eat breakfast in one of my favorite restaurants. :)

Cake number 2 from Personnalisée Cakeshop. I chose the design myself because we were also celebrating Chinese New Year.

YAY! I got another cake. :) I must be lucky this year haha! The staff at Hyatt Hotel as I have previously said are very nice and accommodating to their guests.

Who doesn't love eyeshadows? We all have our favorites but we all need a decent eyeshadow primer to bring out the best in those eyeshadows and make them last for as long as we need them to! Creasing and fading eyeshadows aren't very appealing so a good eye primer is a must! There are just so many eyeshadow primers out in the market today. I have the Original UDPP and Etude House Proof 10 eye primer which I have previously compared HERE.

Benefit says:

This dual-action power primer works 360° degrees around the eyes to make concealers AND eyeshadows STAY PUT. Concealers don't crease, eyeshadows stay vibrant and true...you'll wonder how you ever lived without it! Comes in a neutral nude shade that is universally flattering and a custom airless pump that is sooo easy to use - just a dab'll do ya! Sodium Hyaluronate hydrates and fills in fine lines. Vitamins C & E help fight signs of aging.

SRP - 1,400 Php (I bought mine from Sephora.)

360° simply means you can apply it on your lower and upper eye area. What's great about this is its dual purpose for it can also conceal and brighten the under eye area. No need for a separate concealer, especially if the dark areas under your eyes and eyebags aren't that bad.

It comes in a pump bottle which I kind of like and dislike. I like that it's hygienic but the pump because it may tend to dispense more than I need at times.

10.0mL 0.33 US fl. oz.

Directions:

Gently pump a small amount onto the back of your hand. Apply 3 tiny dots under your eyes with fingertips & blend. Next apply 3 dots on eyelids & blend. Let set, then apply concealers and eyeshadows as usual.

I use my fingers or apply half a pump on the back of my hand to warm up the product. I find the consistency to be a bit heavy but creamy and easy to apply.

Does it make eyeshadow pigments stand or pop out more? Well, you be the judge. :)

I did notice thoughdoes make certain eye shadow colors more vivid as you would see from the swatches above.

- Provides a good base for eyeshadow/s.

- Makes certain eyeshadow colors stand out a bit more.

- Does what it claims and makes eyeshadows last for looooong without creasing!

Product information from the box:

Super creamy texture let's you draw eyelines softly and neatly. Long lasting waterproof eyeliner keeps your eye without smudging in sweat or sebum. (I did not alter the translation.)

HOW TO USE:

01 Deep Black:

Starting from inside corner, fill in between lashes. To use as a eye shadow, draw thick line, then blend the line naturally as soon as it gets. (?)

03 Champagne Jewel:

With a touch underneath eyes, your makeup creates teary romantic moods on your eyes. To use as eye shadow, blend it after drawing eyes.

Caution:

Powerful waterproof formular is very strong at water, but possibly removed by sebum. Please make sure to puff once with powder before drawing eyeline.
Close pencil cap after using.

Black long wooden-plastic like pencils that come with a pink cap. Be sure to keep the cap closed as exposure to air will dry out the product. I like that these are sealed when new. :)

My favorite pencil eyeliner is Urban Decay's 24/7. I thought I'd give these a try because Asians cosmetic companies do make good eyeliners.

These aren't as pigmented as Urban Decay's 24/7. The lines on the side were swiped just once and the ones in the middle were swiped twice and a half. :P Though not as pigmented as Urban Decay, the colors can be built with a few layers. Both are very creamy and soft and easy to work with.

I haven't tried these yet but I wanted to show everyone the swatches. True enough, these don't budge once they set and dry. I think the translation above meant you should set it with powder. Both pencils can be used as an eyeliner and as an eyeshadow or eyeshadow base.

I have previously said, Champagne eyeliners will make your eyes pop without making it appear as obvious or as strong as a white eyeliner. You can apply it in your inner eye corner and in the waterline or bottom rim.

I think these can be only removed with an oil based makeup remover = sebum, such as cleansing oils. I am under the impression that these wouldn't fade nor go anywhere once they set.

I wouldn't recommend either of the colors to anyone who doesn't like shimmery and sparkly makeup as these eyeliners are loaded with glitters. The glitters are very fine and tiny though, not like some glitter eyeliners out there but these are more visible as they really sparkle!

Both eyeliners are very affordable. Both cost less than 1 Urban Decay 24/7 pencil so if you're on a lookout for a good eyelining pencil and aren't bothered by glitters, these eyeliners would be a great choice. :)

As we get older, we tend to get wiser and more wrinkly. :P I'm not so sure if the former is applicable to everyone, but I am quite sure that the latter applies to most of us.

I am guilty of frowning a lot, I also smile and laugh a lot, so I guess it's pretty normal for me to have ~~wrinkles~~ fine lines around my age. (Actually, I blame all my wrinkles on law school. LOL! Kidding!) The very lovely Blair requested for this review. She had asked me about it on Twitter. I think she has seen it on some popular Taiwanese show. :)

Directions: Cleanse and tone face first then apply 1-2 pumps as needed.

I only apply this to certain areas of my face such as my forehead and laugh lines. I usually layer this with other products and only apply it before I go to bed.

It comes in a simple Dark Brown bottle. The pump has a stopper and can be swiveled from left to right to prevent product spillage. I should say, I love the pump because it doesn't dispenses the right amount of product! :)

Swatch

It is creamy-white and goes on translucent. Blends and gets absorbed quickly once applied on skin. I have noticed that it turns into a tan-orange when it is exposed to air and not applied to skin. (Yes, I am that curious.) To the touch, it feels like a silicone based product so it does make the face smoother.

The scent is hardly traceable and faint, it does not bother me at all.

Goes on translucent and gets absorbed quickly.

It feels warm once applied on skin, though not a burning sensation; you will certainly feel a tingling and warm sensation, which should only last for a few seconds or so. It is gentle and should not sting. Well, unless of course you use it in sensitive areas like your eyes, then that will hurt.

After application, the product gets absorbed and is no longer detectable to the naked eye.

A word of warning! Do not apply near the eye area. I have been told that it plumps skin, and might make your eyebags more visible and plumped. So avoid the eye area when using this product. (You will be sorry if you don't, as this product may sting your peepers.)

I have also tried using this with makeup - As it makes the skin smooth, one can skip primer and just apply makeup over it. It does make the lines on my forehead less noticeable. While it might not help the lasting power of the makeup, I'd still say that it is a great primer because makeup goes over it smoothly. I usually use a liquid foundation on top of it. Just be sure to give it ample time to get absorbed by the skin before proceeding with foundation application.

I use about a pump and a half for my forehead and laugh lines. While the product may seem a bit expensive, I am pretty sure that it will last a long time, about six months or so. It might vary from consumer to consumer as you may use more product that I do.

Overall, I am impressed with this product as I have been with Kiehl's other products! I have noticed that the lines on my forehead have been less visible since I started using this. I use it in conjunction with other skincare products which are mostly from Kiehl's. I find that the Dermatologist Solutions line does not break me out and keeps my skin soft and supple. I shall keep repurchasing this product because I am highly satisfied with the results.

I hope I reviewed the right product for Blair. My mother used the Double Strength Deep Wrinkle Filler for specific areas with deep wrinkles. I assume that it is targeted towards older age groups.

A Beautiful Misery

The girl was awarded monthly as the most behaved student in her class. She barely spoke.Her classmates regularly tried to pick fights with her but she would just walk off; they took her stuff away but she just shrugged; they ruined her things but she didn't cry. She never seemed to care about anything.

One day her brother told her that he was being bullied by a classmate. Without a word, she got up and charged at the kid, shoved him hard and angrily said, "Don't you ever do that to my brother, you...! Don't you ever touch him again!!!" Her brother hugged her and she saw he was scared. She held his hand and they walked away.

Every woman out there needs a good Red lipstick around this time of the year, for Red is a very festive color.

All Paul & Joe lipsticks are embossed with a very pretty floral pattern.

- I have several lipsticks from Paul & Joe. All their lipsticks are moisturizing.

- Goes on smoothly. Application is a breeze.

- Of all my P&J lipsticks, this one is the most opaque. The color payoff is amazing!

- Lasts for a long time but may be hard to get off at the end of the day.

It comes out a bit lighter in pictures than it is in real life.

Swiped twice.

A deep Reddish-Maroon shade with somewhat a bit of Blue undertone.

-It has gold micro-shimmers but there is no gritty feeling. The shimmers won't scratch your lips nor will those make it dry.

- Don't let the color scare you; There are so many ways to wear a Red lipstick.

- The finish is more on the matte side, however it has a lovely sheen to it because of the micro sparkles.

Say hello to Anna Mikaela A.K.A. Anika. Currently, the youngest of my first cousins once removed. Last Sunday she was baptized and I became her god mother so she's also my god daughter or "inaanak" as we call it in Filipino.

Her eye color was not edited; it's just a bit different from what we Asians have gotten used to. It was also one of the first things I have noticed when I first saw her at the nursery. I thought, "WOW! She doesn't need contact lenses haha!"

Oh my gosh!! She's sooo adorable and she knows how to pose! xD

Awwww... She's uber cute. She didn't cry during the whole ceremony and was just observing what the people around her were doing.

An unexpected Haul

I said I would go on a shopping ban. I am trying to save up for gifts for my family and friends this Christmas and some things I wanted which aren't beauty related. I seriously don't need more makeup at the moment but shopping with my parents proved to be hard as they kept telling me to get things for myself. :P I don't like stressing myself or people around me so I obliged but proceeded with great caution. (Note the use of the word caution.)

My father will always be my favorite shopping buddy. He is the most generous person I know; he's always on a hurry, he would let me buy things so just I won't be a brat and waste his time.

Last Saturday I went shopping with my father for gifts after a meeting. While we were in Greenbelt, he said he wanted to switch to Kiehl's because he thinks my skin as well as my mom's skin ha improved. I helped him shop for some skin and hair products and we purchased 2 "Ultra Light Daily UV Defense Kits". He told me to get what I wanted so don't blame me for buying. :P It's his fault for enabling me - I was trying very hard to resist. Just a while ago I opened my kit to take pictures but found that mine contained "The Creme de Corps Total Care" items which are also amazing but I really wanted to get the Ultra Light Daily UV Defense products. :(( I hope I can exchange the kit when I'm in Makati. :/ I'm seriously sad about it so I won't be posting my recent haul. (Yes, I'm that shallow sometimes. hehehe! I've been complaining to my dad and he said I should stop worrying and just return the items.)

I usually keep around one or two concealers to blend and address areas that need to be concealed. If you go to though my FOTDs, you will notice that I rarely use any on my face when I do makeup. I, however have been an insomniac for most of my life and lately my eyebags have started to bother me. So I went ahead and picked up a cult favorite.

Erase Paste
What it is:
A brightening camouflage for the eyes and face.

What it does:
Benefit Erase Paste is a concentrated, creamy, blendable concealer that instantly brightens and camouflages all-in-one. It has an innovative formula which makes sure signs of stress and fatigue are a thing of the past. These three brightening neutral shades give every gal correction perfection.

What else you need to know:
Erase Paste includes a step-by-step concealing and brightening lesson and a handy little spatula. (source)

(I bought mine from Sephora when they were on sale. ^_^)

Upon opening the box, you will see a leaflet with a tutorial on how to use the product on different areas of the face:

1. Under eye concealing & brightening for dark circles

Use spatula to scoop out a tiny amount. Place the paste on the back of your hand. With your ring finger,

take erase paste and make a dot on the inner & outer corners of the eye. Delicately blend by following the arrows above. For complete under eye concealing, connect the dots.

2. Camouflage those shadowy areas from nose to corners of the lips.

Use the side of your finger to draw three “cat whisker” strokes in an up & outward motion across the shadowed grooves. Blend lightly in soft, upward strokes with your finger tips.

TIP: Run your fingertips under warm water to heat them up before blending.

3. “X” marks the spot to conceal

spot imperfections.

For blemishes & spots of discoloration use the side of your finger to draw an “X” on top of the imperfection. Pat & blend with your ring finger.

TIP: Apply 10% more erase paste than necessary —by the time you get to where you’re going, you’ll look perfect.

It has its own spatula! Thank goodness! I don't have to worry about dipping my fingers in the pot. I would recommend cleaning the spatula before and after use.

You can also use cotton bud, a brush or your clean fingers to apply the product on.

Packaging is cute! It comes in a clear purple jar. While the jar may seem a bit small there's a lot of product inside.

Picture no. 1 is a swatch of the product. The texture is amazing - it is very creamy and easy to blend.

Picture 2 - it matches my skin tone and brightened the area too. It also made the veins on the back of my hand less visible. Please note that I only used a tiny amount of the product.

Thoughts:

- At first glance, I thought this wouldn't work for me as the product has a pink tone to it, but I was surprised at how well it blended on my with my skin which is warm with a yellow undertone.

- Don't be afraid of how thick the product is. Just apply it with your fingers or put a tiny amount at the back of your hand to warm the product up.

PROS:

- Does not break me out.

- I like that it's very creamy and smooth. It has a buttery texture and is quite easy to blend.

- A little goes a long way.

- The color matches my skin (I'm around MAC NC30 for reference).

- It covers skin imperfections - great for concealing eye bags and making the under eye area brighter.

- It can be layered and it doesn't cake on me.

- Excellent staying power.

- Not drying, not wrinkly under the eye area but might crease with more problematic areas of the face.

- PLUS: It works well as a lip primer. (No need to purchase a separate lip primer!)

CONS:

- It might be a bit expensive for some people.

Press the pump gently as it might dispense a lot of product if pressed too hard.

Soooooooooo Foamy!!! It looks like cream and is very soft and nice to touch.

Super airy and light. :)

Does it work?

Below is a demonstration of how the product removes a bunch of waterproof eyeliners.

Left to Right:
1. Swatches of different eyeliners.
2. Applied the foam on damp skin.
3. After gently rubbing the foam in circular motions.

As you can see, it did not leave a trace of eyeliner. BUT WAIT!!!! Note, this may not remove all sorts of eye makeup especially those that are waterproof. The result may vary when it is tested out on a flat surface and the actual eye.

PROS:
-It smells great!
- I love how foamy and airy the product is! It goes on smoothly on the skin.
- Feels light on the skin.
- Very gentle on the skin.
- Removes makeup quite well as you can see from the picture above, but it will not remove waterproof makeup.
- Does not strip my skin of it's natural oils nor make it dry.
- Did not break me out.

CONS:
- Expensive.
- Not locally available.
- The product works as a cleanser it did not improve my skin nor does it make my skin brighter when I use it.

OVERALL:
This is a good product but it does nothing for my skin. I suppose it can do wonders for other people, sadly, I am not one of them. I will continue to use this but will not repurchase.

Note: I use this interchangeably with Paul & Joe's creamy face wash, Nivea Visage Sparkling White - Whitening Cleansing Foam and Philosophy's Purity.

This product reminds me of Etude House - Cloud Bubble Oil which is a lot cheaper. The only difference between that and this one is that this one doesn't strip my skin off its natural oils.

Paul & Joe Eyebrow Powder in 02 Light Brown

This was given to me by my little sister since she has too many eyebrow powders, and well, I did not have any because my eyebrows are quite thick. However, I have noticed that the flash most of the times washed out my eyebrows and highlighted the sparse area (*insert a picture of Mona Lisa here), that made me consider filling in my brows like most people do because I do not want to look like Mona Lisa even if most of you think she is beautiful! :p

It has also come to my attention that eyebrows play a major role in framing our features. As such, I am very happy to be given a chance to stick to a brand that I love and trust. (And if my little sister didn't give this to me, I would have bought one for myself anyway. xD)

- I use both colors for my brows. I use the lighter one to fill in the gaps and the sparse area between my brows and I use the darker shade for the outer part of my eyebrows to emphasize the line. :) I also sometimes mix both brow colors for a more intense color since thick brows are in for the holidays.

- It may seem a bit crumbly in the picture above and in real life it does have a fall out but the fall out is tolerable. I sometimes spray the brush with mac charged water or plain water for maximum effect and I find that it works better when I use a damp brush. The colors may come out as a bit sheer but are build-able. You may opt for softer or stronger looking brows that would not look as harsh.

- I have no complaints with this particular eyebrow powder and find it very easy to work with. It's almost fool proof! It does not give me harsh looking brows and blends well with my hair color. I think the pigmentation is decent as too much would make your eyebrows stand out and look fake. The finish is matte and natural.

- It also doesn't smudge like some eyebrow type eyebrow pencils. It's such a horrible site when the eyebrow pencil/powder begins to smudge and get all over. >.<

- I really can't think of any con. I have already stated that I don't mind paying extra as long as the product is worth it, but for those who are on a tight budget, the price is something you may want to consider. Although it comes in such a small compact, there is a lot of product inside the pan! I have had this for months and there's still a lot of product inside.

- For FOTDs you may look at the ones I have posted. I will also be posting more since this is my everyday go to brow powder. :)

Clio Waterproof Pen Liner Kill Black

Waterproof and no smudge formula

I gather that the girl on the box is a famous celebrity in Korea of which I am not familiar with. Please excuse my ignorance. -_- Oh, I copied the description above from the box. I had nothing to do with what was written.

Another pen type eyeliner because I love lining my eyes. :)

Well, there is nothing special about the packaging. The pen is made of plastic and similar to other drugstore eyeliners in terms of packaging but the formula inside is quite different from the ones I have tried.

Very fine-pointed felt tip liner.

Below is a comparison of the Clio Waterproof Pen Liner Kill Black with other eyeliners I own:

It is very black and is pigmented as you can see from the photo.

I used a light hand but went over the line twice. I also made it thicker for emphasis (Sorry for the lighting. >.<) This eyeliner is very easy to use and is suitable for beginners as the felt tip is very easy to maneuver. I find that this works for tight lining my eyes and never gives me the dreaded panda eyes.

Once again apologies for the lighting. You can see my previous FOTDs with this eyeliner on. It doesn't smudge on me and stays put all day to the wee hours of night.

The formulation of this eyeliner is thicker and a bit drier than other eyeliners I have tried. Compared to the eyeliners above that I have swatched, it's formula is the deepest in terms of color payoff. It is also the one that dries the fastest.

PROS:

- Does not irritate nor sting my eyes.

- Felt tip eyeliner is easier to use than brush tips ones because the brush sometimes get all over the place.

- Dries easily (almost as soon as it is applied on.)

- Does not smudge and budge once it is applied.

- It is true to the color and is really one of the blackest black eyeliners I have ever seen.

- I would like to emphasize this - IT IS NOT A PAIN TO REMOVE like other waterproof eyeliners. It comes off easily when I wash my face at night with soap and water.

CONS:

- Not locally available.

- May give thicker lines than brush tip eyeliners as the felt tip always draws very black lines. (Just use a lighter hand for a thinner line.)

I just love Pink blushes for December! I live in a tropical country that doesn't have snow nor winter. However, I still want to get the glow that girls have when they've just been exposed to cold winter air.

Confession - I haven't used it as a brightening face powder as I have been using it as a blush. Although it seems to make my complexion brighter because it gives such a pretty glow on my cheeks.

Comes in a box with a lot of product inside. I have yet to hit the pan of any blusher and I don't think I'll ever see the pan of this one either.

I usually rant about applicators that come with the product but this brush really works with the blush! :) It is not scratchy and picks up a decent amount every time I swipe it on the blush. It is also very compact and pretty.

While I am not a fan of boxes and paper packaging I find this box sturdy and cute. :)

Note: Under direct sunlight. This appears a bit more peach than it is in real life. The blush has no glitters/shimmers it is a matte blush. (I FINALLYhave a matte blush!)

Pale powder pink with a hint of peach and purple or mauve tones.

The blush has a very delicate feminine like scent which does not bother me. If anything, it reminds me of L'Occitane skincare products.

Other reviews say that this blush has weak pigmentation but I disagree with the opinion of the majority. :P It can be built with several layers and does show up on me so I wouldn't say that the pigmentation is weak. I have used other blushes with weaker pigmentation. Just use the brush that comes with the product and you will be fine - pack the product in the blush and apply several layers as you would with Japanese blushes. You may want to use another product for buffing and blending.

These are the only CONS I can think of:

- Packaging may be a bit bulky.

- Pricey. (Keep in mind that there is a lot of blush inside the box. I believe this contains more product than most blushes out there.)

- May not work for ladies with darker skin tones.

Majolica Majorca Jeweling Pencil in 71 (Short Review + Tip + FOTD)

I have been looking for another eyeliner to use for my waterline. As much as I love lining it with a white eyeliner, I often find that white is a bit too strong and just looks very unnatural in some pictures.

It is a champagne Gold. I have yet to find a Peach eyeliner. :)

As you can see from the swatch above, this particular eyeliner contains glitters. If you have sensitive eyes, I suggest you stay away and find another eyeliner because this might irritate your eyes. I on the other hand would have to say that I really like this eyeliner. :3

The lasting power amazed me and the color makes my eyes pop out without being too obvious. I would have to say though that this feels a bit scratchy, it does not go on as smoothly as some of my eyeliners do. I suspect that the glitters may be the culprit but I still love it! It's available at all Majolica Majorca counters and it's also very affordable.

TIP: Use a Peach, Champagne or Gold eyeliner instead of White to make your eyes more alive without being too obvious.

As I have previously stated - I tend to act goofy in real life although people don't suspect I do. :P

I used Photoscape to edit the photo. In the first photo, I just reduced the noise since the picture was taken with an iPhone. I then played with the lighting in the 2nd and 3rd photo. Which among the three do you like? :)

This is one of those products that I had high hopes for especially since I read many good reviews on it.

The product is clear and can be used under lipstick or lipgloss. It is smooth and goes on easily on the lips. It also smells pleasant and the taste does not bother me at all.

- Does not feel heavy on the lips.
- Gives a soothing sensation when applied.
- Smells wonderful.
- Does not contain chemicals and is made with products that are environmentally friendly.

CONS:
- Tad expensive for a lip balm/conditioner.
- Not locally available.
- Does not last on my lips.
- Does nothing for my dry lips.

REPURCHASE? No. The only reason I buy lip balms and conditioners is because I don't want my lips to be dry and this clearly does nothing for me.

I have never seen a picture of this place that was not picturesque. It seems that every angle is breathtaking, captivating and well, just beautiful.

My cousin told me that the whole island was modeled after Santorini, Greece. According to him the island is man made and I went, "WOW!" O.o. Pink Beige is a nude lip color that adds just a hint of Pink and Beige on the lips. The color of the actual product is very true to the name it was given. The texture is very creamy and glides effortlessly. It is a bit sheer but the color is buildable hence the color will show up after applying on about 3 layers. It does not accentuate lip lines and keeps the lips moisturized and supple! The staying power actually surprised me because it does stay on even after I eat and drink. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS LIPSTICK and shall get more colors. :3

Downside - Not budget friendly. Also those living outside Asia may find it hard to get Lunasol products but if you can get your hands on this, I do recommend that you try it.

Urban Decay Lipstick in Sellout

Urban Decay - A brand I adore but can't get my hands on as often as I would like because it's not available in my country. :(

Thank you to my dear friend who also sent me this lipstick! :) I trust her taste completely when it comes to makeup. :D I'm shipping a package to her today. I hope she likes everything I got for her too!

Decadently creamy, long-lasting color, a wide variety of textures, and a sweet lick of crème caramel... our Lipstick is a weapon of love.

Leaving no shade unturned, our huge assortment of colors and textures tempt you to stray from an otherwise predicable palette. The tube is metallic and purple. I do like it, but I find the sword a bit bothersome, a bit sharp even. I couldn't give this to my cute little niece because I was afraid she'd poke her eye out if I did.

The Urban Decay site describes it as warm neutral.

I wouldn't say it's neutral, although I would have to agree that it is warm. It's more of a MLBB kind of color in my opinion. The color is brick red when swatched and a bit berry-like on my lips as can be seen from the pictures below.

The color is wearable and will look great for everyday looks.

PROS:

- Moisturizing.

- Love the color of this lipstick. It's great for everyday use.

- Can be layered.

- Goes on smoothly. The texture is very creamy.

CONS:

- As much as I would love to say that I love this lipstick to bits. It has a weird taste! Yes, it does! It's bitter and reminds me of the medicine I didn't want to take as a child. If you are not particular on the taste of lipsticks then this lipstick is for you.

- As I have previously mentioned, it is not available in my country.

- Urban Decay is not cheap.

Not sure on:

- Cute tube packaging

- Lasting Power which is only up to 3 hours on me.

- Scent - It smells very sweet.

Korres Lip Butter in Guava

I've always been curious about Korres as I have read nothing but raves on their products. I have been particularly interested in their Lip Butters because I have uber dry and chapped lips. Thankfully, my very pretty friend also sent me a this. YAYYYY!!!! xD

I did ask for guava because I wanted something that I was familiar too. I also prefer untinted or clear lip butters and balms so I can wear a gloss or a lipstick over it. Lip balms have been a part of my skincare since my lips are very dry. I apply it before I go to bed and after I wash my face when I wake up.

No harmful chemicals.

It smells very tropical. Very much like guavas, I believe but not the sour tasting ones. The scent is rather mild and wouldn't really bother you. It also dissipates after a while and does not linger. I was expecting it to taste like guava, but it does not have any weird taste.

The texture is very creamy, almost like softened butter but not to the point that it's messy. A little amount goes a long way with this product. It goes on with a sheen but does not feel greasy nor heavy at all. After a few minutes it will settle in, making the lips appear fuller and healthier.

I like this plastic pot! It does not feel cheap at all. I have a feeling that it will last me for months. It's quickly making its way on the list of my "must have" and favorite products.

I either use a cotton bud/q-tip, or my fingers when I am being extra lazy. I would have to warn everyone that you should make sure your fingers are clean when you do so, as you wouldn't want to contaminate the whole pot with germs. (Notice: This is one of the few instances where I won't complain that a product that comes in a pot/jar. :P)

The only downside once again is the price which others may find a bit expensive. Thankfully, I didn't have to pay for this, not that I would either because this is a great product! It might also be hard to acquire such in my case because I live in a country that doesn't have a Sephora branch.

With all of that said, I would still say that the moisturizing effect is still not lasting. True, it keeps my lips moisturized when I apply it but when I skip application. My lips revert to their original dry state. I suppose lip butters/ lip balms should always be a part of my beauty regimen. I do hope that this will help my dry lips in the long run.

I've been lemming for this product for months since I saw youtubers rave about it. Thankfully a very dear friend sent it to me! :) YAY!!!! Sometimes lemmings turn out to be a good thing such as in this case.

While it does not really boost my mood. It gives a natural blush on my cheeks which make my skin appear young and happy. :P

I guess looking at the hearts will also make users happier. Cheers for cute pink hearts! LOL!

The packaging is plastic but has a metallic finish. A brush and a mirror can be found in the bottom of the compact.

Comes with this ~~tacky looking~~ brush which I haven't used at all.

First off the color payoff amazed me. The product is pigmented and gives a rosy-pink glow. It contains shimmers as you can see on the swatches above but the shimmers are hardly noticeable when blended out. It gives a pretty pink radiant flush.

This is such a wonderful product! It's affordable and theproduct is amazing. It is not the smoothest or creamiest blusher I have tried to date; but it is easy to apply, blendable and goes on beautifully on the skin.

Lasting power is great. While it does not last all day on my oily skin, I think it exceeded my expectations.

I don't like the brush - the packaging looks tacky to me. Mine has scratch marks all over. It might also be a bit hard to acquire if you live outside the United States of America. I am not sure on the shade range of the Happy Booster blushes but this might also not work for those with darker skin tones and might come off more as a highlight than a blush.

Paul & Joe Protective Fluid Foundation S in 103

NOTE: 103 is lighter in real life. Panasonic Lumix always makes things/people appear a bit more yellow. The pictures below are more accurate than this one.

Loyal blog followers know that I am an avid fan of Paul & Joe Beaute. :3

This is one of the reasons why I remain loyal to the brand.

The bottle is so pretty! :3 It has a pump dispenser that's very handy and easy to use. Never pumps out more than the amount desired.

4. I forgot to take a picture with the product fully blended in, ok? I have many FOTDs wearing this foundation and will take another one next week so you can see what it looks like when it's applied.

I can only say good things about this foundation. I like it as much as I like Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua. The only downside is the price, which some people may find a bit expensive for them. I don't mind investing on foundations because I think base makeup is very important to people like me, who don't have perfect skin.

And if I may add, Paul & Joe's ingredients are always safe and never break me out.

I also have Paul & Joe's Foundation Protective Fluid Foundation N. There were mixed reviews on it before and that does have a very fluid like texture whereas this one has more of a gel-like consistency that reminds me of my other favorite foundation. Once applied, it gets easily absorbed by the skin. One can use fingers, sponges or brushes and I find that it's almost fool proof.

It feels light on the skin and actually has a mild tingling effect which I really like because of the weather we have in my country. It feels more like tinted moisturizer because it's very light. The coverage is medium; while you might need a concealer to cover dark eye circles and pimple marks it will help hide minor flaws.

The finish is dewy but not to the point that it will make you like a grease-ball. It actually looks rather natural, as if you have very healthy and glowing skin. It photographs well too. I am obsessed with foundations that don't have a flashback as you may have noticed by now.

For those with dry skin, I believe this won't dry or flake on you nor settle on fine lines.

I think I have collected most of Paul & Joe's Foundation and this one if my favorite among the bunch.

Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner - Skincare diary

I often complain about my large pores. As such, anything that promises to reduce the size of my pores entices me to pick the product up ~~before someone gets the bright idea of hording everything away.~~

Product Claims:

1. Deep cleanses pores.

2. Maintain ph 4.5 +1

3. Control a large amount of the sebum

4. Minimize appearance of pores

5. Refine the skin tones

6. Keep the elasticity of pores

7. Moisturize inside and outside of skin

How can anyone say no to all of those, right? Plus, the packaging is super cute and convenient to use!

Ok, ok, so the truth is the bottle was what attracted me to the product. It's just so easy to use and there is minimal to no product wastage at all!

The price is around 700++Php - it may seem expensive, there is actually a lot of product inside the bottle; plus, you only need 2 pumps/press each time you use it so I suppose it will last for quite a while.

Directions:

1. Get a cotton pad or cotton ball.

2. Press the pump dispenser twice.

3. Apply on the face and neck as you would with your other toners.

For more information on enlarged pores, please visit DERMAdoctor.com I think their article is very helpful to those who might be suffering the same problem that I have.

I honestly don't think there's any product on the market that would make my large pores disappear as it is not just possible. This, however does help in making my pores less visible. It does not sting like some toners/astringents do but helps take off excess makeup and dirt at night. It does make my skin seem a bit healthier and brighter once used; for it keeps my oily skin at bay. The effect may last for a few hours or so, I just hope that it will be beneficial to my skin in the long run.

Etude House does have many great products for a fraction of the cost. As much as I like to invest in skincare products, I am grateful for alternatives that won't hurt my wallet as much. If you are looking for a good toner, do try this one out. :)

Lunasol Intellectual Liquid Eye Liner in 01 Brownish Black

Description: Top of the line liquid-type eye liner that dries quickly. Comes in two colors: 01 Brownish Black and 02 Greenish Gray.

I got the ink refill in Brownish Black.

"Brownish Black naturally gives your eyes an impressive appearance."

I was under the impression that a Brownish Black eyeliner would be great for everyday use since it would be less harsh than Black.

The pen-type holder is sold separately from the ink refill.

I like the pen holder. You have to screw the cap off - you wouldn't have to worry about travelling with the eyeliner because you will be assured that it won't just get opened when squeezed in a bag that is full of makeup.

The brush tip is very fine and precise. One can also take out the ink refill and wash it.

Swatch. The tip is very thin and precise. It can draw a very thin line when you use a light hand.

I had great hopes for this eyeliner. I've actually bought many eyeliners lately. I was hoping that this would become a favorite but sadly, it isn't. I like the idea of the refill ink since the refill is not that expensive at around 700Php.

I find that it isn't as water proof nor budge proof as K-Palette's 24/7 eyeliner is. When worn for more than 8 hours it fades. While the brush is very precise and allows the user to draw a very thin line the formula is very thin and skips. So you'd have to go over the line for about a couple to three times.

The ink refill contains a lot of product inside but since you'd have to repeatedly coat the line you've drawn that much product is still a waste.

Sigh... :(

Everything tasted so good! My little sister did not like the bake macaroni though. I guess it is a bit different from the usual baked macaronis that we have gotten used to. The food is fairly priced and servers are very attentive and friendly. A must try for those who want to experience Greek cuisine or Mediterranean food.

Next time I will order flaming mangoes, just because I want the server to say "OPA!!!" with feelings when it flames. Mwuahahaha! xD

The food is delicious. I like how everything tasted but found the servers a bit snotty. It was hard to get their attention and they were trying to delegate serving to each other which wasn't a very pleasant thing to do. Lesson: Next time, I will eat at other branches.

Hello everyone! I realize I've been remiss in my duties as a blogger but believe me I have my reasons and as much as I want to update this blog and go visit everyone's blog, a lot of things have prevented me from doing so.

Anyway, I'm still here! And I shall try to keep up with my back log as well as go visit everyone's blog really soon.

November 1, All Saints Day is a legal and non working holiday in the Philippines. Most Filipinos go to the cemetery to visit their late relatives, to utter a prayer or light a candle; some bond with their other relatives;

and of course, we all eat a lot! LOL!

Our family had 2 lechons "roasted pigs" YAY! I definitely pigged out at my grandfather's house that day. :P NOTE TO MYSELF: See the reason why you're getting f-a-t.

I suspect it was my Mom's idea to have candles of different colors although she told me that she only wanted us to use white candles.

For those who have lost loved ones and friends, I hope they all find eternal peace. We Christians believe in the concept of heaven so I'm ending this post with this picture. It's always comforting to know that our loved ones have moved on to a better place. :3

Krazy Garlic - Food Glorious Food!! -

My little sister remarked earlier this week that my blog could pass for a food blog, which I don't think is bad at all. Hahahaha! :P

Krazy Garlic seems to be an apt place to dine in, this time of the year... I mean vampires are supposed to be scared of garlic, right? (Not that anyone has ever tested garlics on actual vampires, but that's what we've been told.) Even local folklore has it that bad beings and spirits can be scared off with garlic. With the ~~stench~~ smell, who can blame them? :P

I had high expectations from this place since it's owned by the Bistro Group which own a bunch of restaurant that I love such as Fish and Co., Italianni's, T.G.I. Fridays, etc..

I liked the Caesar bread! It was so yummy! :) The veggies look wilted, don't they?

Four Cheeses Pizza

The pizza was ok but it wasn't served hot. I have never been a fan of cold pizzas so we took this home and reheated it.

Grilled Salmon

Please excuse me, I'm on a "I only want to eat fish & veggies right now" phase. This was flavorful and tasted great. I loved that their salmon was fresh and the pasta was al dente.

I am an icetea addict. Anyone who has ever spent time with me can attest to that fact.

Well, I liked the mugs that their iceteas came in, but I found the actual icetea a bit too sour for my liking. Maybe the acidity is supposed to offset the flavor of the garlic. I'm not sure, but I'm quite positive about not liking it ar all.

Overall, I would say that the place is a let down. Some of the food tasted mediocre while others were good. The servings were rather small for the price. The servers were nice but were hard to find. Perhaps it is just me, but I don't think I will be going back to this place anytime soon.

Nymph AURA Volumer in #1 Pure Nymph Aura

Description from Etude House: Multi Cream maximizing the radiance and dewy glow on skin, completing flawless skin with plumped up moisture.

- Comes in a white plastic bottle with a very cute cap.

- The pump is convinient and easy to use. Be wary that it might dispense too much if pressed too hard - Press gently to avoid wasting the product!

I will mix it with Paul & Joe's Protective Fluid Foundation N in 30.

Directions: Mix with 1 drop/part with every 2 drops of foundation or BB cream.

You may add more or less according to your preference. I will be using more since I want everyone to see the effect/look it produces.

Using this stippling brush from the Etude House, I will combine and mix the products. You may use your hand or a sponge.

Mix well then Apply and distribute evenly on skin.

Color: Peach but goes on translucent.

It is more subtle - looks more natural than #2. I would recommend girls with medium to darker skin tones choose this because it won't give a chalky or ashy finish and would blend perfectly on your skin.

Texture: The texture surprised me. It is gel-like and sticky. It feels like a thick lip gloss and tends to just sit on top of the skin for a while. Once it settles it will make the skin smoother.

Scent: Has a very faint scent which smells like Etude House's other skincare products.

Finish: Gives a dewy finish.

- at first it may resemble the look you will get when you apply Vicks/petroleum jelly over your skin, but once it settles, it will start to look more natural and dewy. (Think you just stepped out the shower and your skin is still moist.)

Lasting Power: The shine/shimmer it gives will last around 3 hours on me since I have very oily skin. For those with normal or dry skin it might last a bit longer.

Price: Around 700++Php

Worn over Paul & Joe Moisturizing Compact Foundation in #30.

There's a long list of foundations and bb creams that claim to give a dewy finish. I suppose most ladies like me want a luminous and glowing finish that would make skin appear healthier. As such, I was really looking forward to trying this product and I actually wanted to like it but I'm still on the fence with it right now. Perhaps my mind will change after I get used to the texture which I'm not really very fond of.

I prefer the Etude House's method of mixing it with a bb cream or a foundation rather than using it as a highlight over those products. It does take quite a while for the skin to absorb the product if used as a highlighter.

Note that it tends to highlight skin imperfections such as large pores; after all, it is somewhat of a highlighter that can be used together with a makeup base. The glow or shimmer it produces is quite different from that which I am used to as it makes the skin look moist and wet. I would say that this is perfect for countries with colder weather as it can give the impression of nice-glowing skin without glitters! Unlike other Korean highlighters which I have tried in the past, the shimmers of the Nymph Aura Volumer are hardly visible and will just cast a luminous appearance once applied.

It's not really a bad deal for the price. Especially if you are just starting out or experimenting with highlighters. It is far better than other highlighters on the market but I have tried better ones. But then again, this product isn't being advertised as a highlighter, it supposed to be something a bit different. Maybe the novelty will be the selling point of the item.

I would like to point out though that I don't regret the purchase and think that I shall be using more of the product when I'll be indoors in an air-conditioned room. :)

EX02 is a peach-coral shade depending on how you apply or layer the colors of the blush. It has shimmers that are barely noticeable. If any, the shimmers just give a very lovely and healthy glow when applied! The pigmentation is rather sheer but buildable. The finish is very natural and pretty. It will make you look like you are blooming.

It feels so nice to the touch - almost creamy and soft - its powder has been finely milled along with the shimmers (fear not, the shimmers won't scratch nor bother you).

The blush case/compact and the blush are sold separately. You may opt not to buy the compact and just get the blush. I however, seriously need a compact for this. The Lunasol counter I visited ran out of stocks so I just bought the blush without the pan. I have an excuse to go back to their counter now.. :P

So much for not buying any blushers till I hit a pan. LOL! xD
